The Most Beautiful Crime

Industrial pursuit of "cool" has an entire generation searching for their souls, but with hope, what's considered lost may just be forgotten.  To what extent are you a product of your environment?

With no galleries in the ghetto, modern artists have transformed ghettos into galleries in the same approach undertaken by dust bowlers and crumb crushers to squeeze pennies from lemons, for what good is a gallery inaccessible to those who burn for art's transformative consequence?  To what extent are you producing your environment?  We deserve art in action not illusions and fashion.

Art is not the cool thing to do, Art is THE thing (verb) to do.

Though the beauty I endeavor to manifest relies not on pictures or paintings of symbols and reproductions of mystical idiosyncrasy, Love is my art form not confined to walls or canvases.  In a time that modern masters are recruited to marketing and advertising I question the value of being the new name on the writer's bench.  Instead I set the bench on fire and spilt some blood & tears over the embers, because art has to become more than wet ink over hot wood in an overstimulated society that has mistaken the ceiling for the sky.  To what extent are you producing the environment in which you want to live?

This is an interesting newish series of documentaries that have been released over the last several months which brings together some really interesting lines of information to give a wonderful view of forces shaping society.

No instruction manual

Watching everything fall apart has surely risen fears.
I breathe. While my mind scrambles to lay the pieces strait in order to "return to normal", I breath.
A question arises:
Why do you scramble, overwhelmed by life's puzzle?

Locate the border pieces, it is safe.  

Assemble them and congratulate yourself for following the only path the puzzle maker designed.

Construct the same limitations that a thousand men given the same pieces have produced a thousand times before, and congratulate yourself.

A puzzle can never be rearranged. It is safe.

Fill the last hole with the missing piece.  

Congratulate yourself, you've finished

Look at the picture and what's it display? 

Dissatisfaction.

How could this be...

It looks just like the picture on the box, so be assured the applied method was undertaken precisely- all the holes are filled so why are we left feeling empty?

Not one among us designed the picture we all die working so hard to produce. 

No longer will I labor to find just the right piece for just the right spot, within the confines of a border I did not designate, to produce a picture I did not dream up.

All the pieces lay about me, but I won't put them back together the way they were...
Instead of rebuilding the puzzle I'll use the pieces to design a sculpture that can't be described by the contents of it's construction.


This is my chance to build what I actually want for myself.
